Polyester Fully Drawn Yarn commonly known as Polyester FDY refers to a multi-filament yarn that is fully stretched. As the name suggests FDY does not need to be processed further and therefore can be directly used to make fabrics. FDY is produced in a similar way to Polyester POY however the difference being, FDY is spun at much higher speeds and is coupled with heated drawing at the same time.
